American painter and archaeologist william waldren memorial
This little statue is a present from" el poble de deia ( de people of deia) to the doctor William H Waldren", situated next to the church of deia. In the graveyard next to the church is the writer and poet Robert Graves buried.
The American painter and archaeologist Dr. William H. Waldren founded in 1962 the Archaeological Museum and Research Centre of deia.
The museum is housed in a converted mill, one of the oldest buildings in the l village of Deià .
