biggest cashew tree in the world in pirangi rio norte in Brazil
The biggest cashew (cajueiro) tree in the world stands in pirangi do norte in the province of Parnamirim in Rio Norte near the city of Natal. The total area of this 117 year old tree is about 8500 square meter. In the month of December and January , the cajueiro tree produces around 80000 fruits. Although the cashew tree is an important tourist attraction, it is also becoming a headache for the local residents. The braches are growing an average of 3 meters a year and are now overgrowing the roads next to the tree . Pruning of the tree will give problems to this cajueiro tree and the government is now looking for a solution.

This is a wonderful pano of a massive tree.
We have a similar massive tree in Pretoria, South Africa. This is a wild fig tree, now over 1000 years old, and over 50 meters in diameter.
