Mark, you are doing an excellent job with this series. I worked as a technical trainer/illustrator/writer for 10 years and have been an avid amateur photographer for most my life. I love your videos, they help a lot. For those of us who dont have the studio and do a lot of outdoor shots of models do you have suggestions for using either one external flash or on camera flash for fill?

why did you use flash with your set up? doesn't that interfear with your lighting set up? also, can you please explain how and when to use flash?
