I'm pretty sure this is film but how do you change tone curves/contrast/brightness etc for this effect?
I have a thorough understanding of both digital and analog photography but I have just started to postprocess my digital pictures and I have no clue what I'm doing.

Okay Im a girl and soon need to figure out what job I should look into/ and what college I would need to go to.. I really like traveling even if its just around america.. of course around the world is great.. I love motor cross.. surfing too.. i like photography and Im a good writer. I was thinking maybe a sports photographer for surfing or motorcross.. or a sports journalist but I was discussing it with my parents and they were saying I would have to be an amazing photographer to take pics o...

I promised good detail to avoid a "what camera do I buy" question.

Right now I have a D3100 with kit lens. The photos I take are mostly either nature/urban or bars/party candids with some street candids thrown in and some other oddities.
I get a lot of compliments on:
1) nature pics
2) people pics
This does not mean I believe I can go professional or make a living off of this!
I'm just saying what I am better at relativ...
