Photographer Captures 24 Hours In One Panoramic Photograph 04/23/12 4:35 pm
24 Hours Panoramic Photograph
His long exposure photo was taken with a Canon 550D DSLR camera. In the dazzling shot, star trails look like a modern interpretation of Van Gogh's 'Starry Night', while the glowing sunlit clouds recall something by Michelangelo's careful hand. The photographic masterpiece creates an almost spiritual vision of Greece's beauty, don't you think?

White Tip Shark Ilot Mato South Reef New Caledonia 04/17/12 6:31 pm
White Tip Shark Ilot Mato South Reef New Caledonia in New Caledonia
Panoramic photo by Richard Chesher
When I took this image of the white tip shark, Triaenodon obesus, it was about one metre from the camera lens. It looks big because it was so close, but was only about 1.4 metres long. Normally these sharks are kind of hard to get close to – at least on normal terms. Open Question: info on my vintage camera? 05/22/12 5:58 am

I'm pretty into digital SLR photography and i think it would be nice to know more about it... so the lens says it's a compur-rapid lens (it's german) and then it says something about "Tessar 1:3,5 f=5cm" (guessing that f is the f-stop here) then on the back film cover it's got this list of f-stop measures (for buying film?? idk)
-it's also a folding lens...
does this give you any way to tell me anything about ...

Open Question: How can I edit a picture like this in Photoshop Elements 10? 05/22/12 5:06 am
I'm pretty sure this is film but how do you change tone curves/contrast/brightness etc for this effect?
I have a thorough understanding of both digital and analog photography but I have just started to postprocess my digital pictures and I have no clue what I'm doing.
